Eye Protection Safety eyewear is an important form of PPE that protects one of the most important yet exposed parts of the body. Understandably, the European Standards covering eye protection are some of the most comprehensive of all those dealing with any item of PPE.
It’s important that the user considers the environment and level of risks involved before selecting the correct eyewear item.
To assist with the selection, all PPE is required to be marked with the specification of its standard, with lettering/numbering acting as an indication of capability.

Often an essential requirement of certain workplaces, all TIMCO masks are fitted with easy-breath exhalation valves and there are various filter protection levels in the range.
FFP3 FFP2
Moderate level
Face masks offer a moderate level of protection against hazardous mists, particulates and fumes. Reduces the wearer’s exposure to airborne particles by a factor of 10. Equivalent to 94% filter efficiency.
Highest level
Masks provide the highest level of protection that a disposable mask can offer. A well-fitting FFP3 mask can protect users against fine toxic particulates including asbestos, bacteria, viruses and radioactive particles. Reduces the wearer’s exposure to airborne particles by a factor of 20. Equivalent to 99% filter efficiency.
FFP1 | Lowest level - Face masks offer a low level filter efficiency level of just 80% and are not deemed suitable for the TIMCO mask range. 17
