Dear Supporter of South Seas,
We are pleased to share that yesterday the Lee County Board of Commissioners approved the proposed amendment to the Lee County Plan’s Land Development Code that will standardize the method for measuring a building height within Lee County.
This amendment ultimately allows South Seas to submit a zoning request to build back its hotel structure that was damaged beyond repair as a result of Hurricane Ian. We look forward to proceeding with the zoning request process and sharing our build-back plans with you and the entire community
The South Seas Ownership Group is grateful for the expertise of our land development consultants and especially for the support of our employees, homeowners and community partners who advocated for us.
Ultimately, our goal at South Seas is to bring back the workforce whose livelihoods depend on the opening of the resort, to allow South Seas to move forward in a resilient and thoughtful manner, and to help rebuild the fabric of South Seas for future generations to enjoy.
