DOWN EAST AIDS Network + The Health Equity Alliance seeks to fill two or more openings in the social services/behavioral health field. A Case Manager will provide direct support and coordination of care for People Living with HIV/AIDS and/or Hepatitis C. This position is based out of Down East AIDS Network's Ellsworth office. The position will start at 32 hours with the potential to increase to 40 hours after a trial period. A bachelors degree in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology or Human Development is required with 2 years of relevant experience. Mental Health Clinicians will assess, treat and provide emotional and social support to members of the Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender community, and persons with opiate addictions and/or who use injection drugs. The position will be per diem to start, with the potential to become part-time once a client base is established. This is a new and exciting position within the agency, but may require some time to establish. LCSW, LCPC or similar licensing is required with at least two years relevant experience working with priority populations. For either position the successful candidate will require strong interpersonal skills, a dynamic personality and the ability to work with diverse and disenfranchised populations. They must function well under pressure, have good time management skills and a healthy sense of humor. They further requires good computer skills, the ability to manage multiple tasks, and the ability to navigate complex social assistance systems.
