FOREWORD TIG SPORTS & GOLF

F

or more than a decade, TIG Sports has been active in the game of golf. We started in 2004, under the name ‘This is golf’, as a promoter of the biggest golf event of the Netherlands, the KLM Open. From the beginning it has been our ambition to attract a wider audience for golf and golf events and to bring the fans closer to the players. The Deloitte Ladies Open has been part of our portfolio since 2004, and in 2010 we added the Dutch Senior Open. TIG Sports has become a sports marketing agency, unique in its kind. We specialise in creating, innovating and organising major international sports events. Nowadays we are involved in a variety of sports, including beach volleyball, field hockey, rowing, short track and sailing. We have operated under the name TIG Sports since 2011; fitting for a multi-sports company with specialists in marketing, project management, creation, PR, online and offline communications and sales. However, the game of golf is part of TIG Sports’ DNA. The KLM Open, the Deloitte Ladies Open and the Dutch Senior Open have become annual highlights on the sporting calendars in the Netherlands. Not only are we active in the highest level of sport in the game of golf, we also organise business events. These corporate events can be organised for the activation of sponsorships, but they are also set up for personnel and clients. TIG Sports organises full-service golf days at the most beautiful golf courses in the Netherlands, we are also very experienced with a long list of other sports.

KLM OPEN The KLM Open means four days of top-level sports in a beautiful setting. The best European golfers compete for one of the oldest trophies in Dutch sport, at one of the most beautiful golf courses in our country.

I

n terms of visitor numbers, prize money and media attention the KLM Open is one of the largest sporting events in the Netherlands. Each year more than 50,000 golf and other sport fans visit the tournament. The KLM Open is broadcasted worldwide in over one hundred countries. The KLM Open is more than just a great sports tournament, when it comes to hospitality and event experience, it is the premier event on the sporting calendar in the Netherlands. The tournament serves as a benchmark for events in many other sports.

VIP LOUNGES The KLM Open offers plenty of opportunities for business gatherings. For example, you can opt for an exclusive lounge, which is only accessible to you and your guests. These lounges can be booked for one or more days during the tournament. Enjoy the KLM Open from your own lounge and welcome your customers, colleagues or friends in style. Another option is to reserve separate VIP tickets to the TIG Sports business lounge. Lunch and snacks are included with VIP Tickets. TV screens in the lounge will show live coverage of the tournament throughout the day.


PRO-AM’S In the days prior to the start of the KLM Open, it is possible to experience what it would be like to play golf like a pro. During the Pro-Ams on Tuesday and Wednesday, tour pros play the tournament course with three amateurs, usually guests of the sponsors. The amateur players experience a full-service golf day on the perfectly groomed tournament course. The Tuesday Pro-Am contains nine holes, whereas the Pro-Am on Wednesday contains 18 holes. Both are followed by a social gathering and dinner with an awards ceremony.

MEDIA EXPOSURE

All participants will receive a reminder of the day. Regardless of the outcome of the match, for amateur golfers it is a unique experience to play golf together with a pro of the European tour on the golf course where the KLM Open is being held later that week.

CHARITY CHALLENGE The KLM Open lasts for four days, but the tournament week begins on the Saturday prior to the event with the Charity Challenge. This particular charity day is the traditional kick-off of the ’KLM Open-week’. The input of participating companies will fully contribute to all donations. Each year many leading figures from the world of sports, television and entertainment take part. By their selfless commitment they are responsible for the publicity that the charities receive. In 2014 a whopping 58,000 euros and a financial contribution was raised for UNICEF.

KLM OPEN VILLAGE KLM Open village offers golf and sport fans the ultimate experience in sports, entertainment and lifestyle. In the village there are small dining facilities, lively bars and relaxed seating areas. The KLM Open expo can also be found in the village. With over 45 exhibitors in the field of golf, fashion, lifestyle, travel, holiday and more, this is the largest golf expo in the Netherlands. During the four days, approximately 50,000 people visit the expo. There is no better way to reach this target group and to promote your product.

KLM OPEN RADIO Each day during the KLM Open, a radio channel broadcasts the event from 10am - 6pm. Golf fans won’t miss a single moment of the KLM Open thanks to live reports from the golf course and interviews with Dutch players and other leading figures. In Zandvoort and surroundings ‘Sport1 KLM Open’ is broadcasted via FM radio. In 2014, 40.000 people worldwide listened to the live stream on the website and the KLM Open app. Sponsors of the KLM Open are mentioned during commercials or they may adopt specific sections such as the leader board update or the highlights of the day.

SPONSORING HOLES The KLM Open is broadcasted worldwide in over one hundred countries and attracts millions of television viewers. In the Netherlands, the tournament will be broadcast live during all four days on Sport1. The NOS broadcasts the tournament live on television on Saturday and Sunday and also broadcasts a daily extensive summary on the sport news. In 2013, 350.000 people tuned in to watch the victory of Joost Luiten. Sponsoring one of the holes with boarding on the course is an effective way to publicise and to generate exposure and brand awareness. A hole-in-one prize has an extra attention value. Special, exclusive or spectacular prizes can count on a lot of recognition. For example, for several years BMW makes an exclusive car-model available for the first player to hit a hole-in-one at the BMW hole. In 2014 a sensational prize could be won with a hole-in-one on hole 15; a space journey worth 100.000 euros. On the last day of the tournament, the prize was actually won. This unique prize could count on media coverage worldwide, from the Volkskrant to CNN.

DELOITTE LADIES OPEN Since 2004, the Netherlands annually hosts a tournament of the Ladies European Tour. Since then, the tournament has become one of the leading golf tournaments for women in Europe.

n recent years, the tournament has been organised at the Kennemer Golf & Country Club, the Eindhovensche golf, golf club Broekpolder and since 2013, at The International. The International, is located near Schiphol Airport, Amsterdam, on the South axis, which makes it even more interesting for business. Title sponsor of the tournament is Deloitte; KLM and ABN AMRO are partners of the event.

In the past few years, there has been an increase in the popularity of women’s golf, and consequently a rise in interest for the Deloitte Ladies Open. The event is extremely popular amongst golf enthusiasts. It is an excellent opportunity to see the best female golf professionals from Europe in action. The Dutch players are some of the best in Europe. Christel Boeljon is an ambassador of the Deloitte Ladies Open.

On the days prior the start of the tournament, amateur golfers will play together with professionals of the Ladies European Tour in the Pro-Am.

Cooperating with media partners, and organisations in PR, maximum exposure is generated for the Deloitte Ladies Open.

The clubhouse offers a superb view of the golf course. Groups are welcome in the stylish meeting & dining rooms. Chef Martijn Heeg is responsible for high standard catering.

As with the KLM Open, the Pro-Am offers a perfect opportunity to invite your business associates. Participants are warmly welcomed and enjoy a relaxing day in an exclusive environment. CLIENT TREATMENT Amateur players are given the opportunity to participate in the Senior Open two out of three days, joined by a tour professional. Participating in an official tournament of the European Senior Tour is a priceless experience for every golfer. Not only is playing a tournament with renowned pros a special experience, The Dutch Senior Open’s small scale makes the client treatment at the highest possible level. For two days, amateur golfers are able to feel like a professional golfer. They stay in the same hotel as the pros, they may use the courtesy car service to go to the course, they get to prepare on the driving range between the professionals and they will have a caddy. Live scoring of the Pro-Am can be followed on the European Senior Tour website. The International clubhouse is also fully equipped. The participants are welcome here throughout the day for exclusive catering. Before and after the game, it is possible to use the extensive spa and fitness facilities. Every year there is room for up to sixty amateur participants. Regardless of the outcome, the lucky participants will have an unforgettable experience.

olf.nl is an online platform for golfers. An appealing mix of text, photography and video tailored to the new ways of reading, watching and sharing media. For active golfers as well as the prospect golfer, this is the place for the latest news about golf; everything about the courses, materials and events. In one glance active golfers will know where they can play golf, take golf lessons and arrange golfing holidays.

TEAM The team that is responsible for making the platform possible consists of 9 experienced professionals. The editorial staff consists of three editors, a managing editor and an editor-in-chief. A designer, a video editor and two people that focus on sales reinforce them. Due to this internal team, a strong group has been formed that ensures powerful and innovative communication in the field of golf.

OLF.NL is a magazine on glossy paper with a luxurious cover in a handy format with a collectable feel. CORPORATE GOLF DAYS 2015 TIG Sports arranges custom-made golf days for various companies on the most beautiful courses in Netherlands, also on the courses of the ‘old 9’. We prepare the entire day and make sure you can focus on entertaining your guests while we take care of the rest. From making reservations for the course to the arrangement of catering, reception, making the starting lists, arranging the prizes and coordinating the referees. In order to make it extra special for your guests it is, for example, also possible to let leading golf professionals play along during the golf day. VPAR TIG Sports has the license in the Netherlands for the VPAR system. This golf scoring system adds an extra dimension to the day: every flight gets an iPhone in which the score is entered after each hole. A leader board is shown on the screen so that everyone is able to track their score. This way, the experience is more intense and the teams are encouraged to achieve a better score to end up higher in the rankings. Please contact us for discussing the various options.


TIG SPORTS BUSINESS CLUB 2015 The business club of TIG Sports was founded in 2008, with the goal of offering hospitality on a variety of golf tournaments and bringing together companies and their business partners. Members of the business club are allowed to invite guests in the Pro-Ams of the Deloitte Ladies Open and the KLM Open. They also receive VIP tickets for these events: on the KLM Open these tickets give access to the TIG Sports business lounge and at the Deloitte Ladies Open one is welcome at the clubhouse of The International. To conclude the year, TIG Sports Invitational is organised. This is a golf trip to an exceptional golf destination in Europe where one will be staying in a luxurious hotel for two nights and is allowed to play golf on beautiful golf courses. Each member may assemble a team of four people; all costs are included.
