This master plan prescribes a chain of green parks to link the Omni downtown area of Miami to the beachfront. These twenty-seven blocks are composed of a gradient of towers and podiums, ranging in setbacks, heights, footprints, and program. I was responsible for the drawings, diagrams, and models (both digital and physical) for this project.

Louver Studies


This proposal was PCPA’s entry for the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Stadium Competition. The landscaped terraces were intended to give a warm and soft atmosphere, rather than the typical sleek, hard feel of most stadiums. I created design iterations for massing and envelope enclosures. Most notably, I designed a Grasshopper definition which allowed us to quickly and flexibly create louver patterns to apply to our building. This was inspired by a Muji textile pattern, and was very well received by our team members.

This 2500-seat theater is located in a very urban and constricted part of Salt Lake City. This building features a broadway house, a sixty-foot high winter garden, a black box theater, a cafe, and retail elements. I studied the complexities and intricacies of programming the theater onto this tight site, as well as master planning the block and overall massing for the building. The project was studied in both Rhino and Revit, and I served as BIM coordinator with our associate architects and consultants.

Although our documentation was recorded with Revit and CAD, most of experimental studies were done through iterative modeling exericises. This process was used to study the master planning, hall interior, facade, and massing.

This mixed-use tower is located in the heart of Tel-Aviv, Israel. It stands as a slender, almond-shaped icon that tapers towards the top. The project has been tried and tested through many months of rigorous calculations and market predictions, transforming in scale, shape, and character meanwhile. My role in this project involved creating drawings, digital modeling tower iterations, creating physical models, calculating adjusted area differences, and creating packages for clients.

Mandarin Oriental Hotel

This 180-key Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Costa Mesa, California was a commission our team won through a competition. During concepts phase, we explored many different typologies for the program on the site - tower, terraces, bungalow, courtyards, etc. After much analysis and client feedback, we developed a double courtyard scheme with a feature ballroom overhanging the hotel driveway. My responsibilities for this project included creating drawings, digital modeling, physical modeling, creating diagrams, and assembling client presentations.

Renders were outsourced.

This mixed-use tower in Mexico City is the tallest of a master plan designed by PCPA. Its smooth and elegant form is deceivingly simple, for its 3D curved and tapered nature makes the building a complex geometry to rationalize. I was first brought onto the project to rationalize the facade pattern as NURBS onto the tower RHINO model. I then joined the team to create DD drawing documents for plans, sections, and details.
