Laaste “civvie”-dag Tussendeur die akademie, sport en kultuur is daar by die Mounties altyd tyd vir ‘n grappie of twee. Die Graad 7-A seuns het ‘n paar koppe laat draai en oë laat rol toe hulle met die laaste “civvie”-dag in slaappakke by die skool opgedaag het!

Design a flag competition A competition was held earlier this year where the learners had to design a flag for our maroon and green house teams. The design had to represent the three pillars of the school: academics, sport and culture. The winners were Jenna Muller of the maroon team and Tanel Kruger and Cara Erasmus of the green team.

Grade 1 and 2 learners from various schools across Port Elizabeth participated in rugby, netball and hockey. Great fun was had by all despite the odd drizzle.

Summerwood has Talent for Africa Anabelle van Wyk (Grade 3) participated in the Talent Africa Regionals. She received Gold for all four of her items and was awarded provincial colours for Performing Arts. She performed items in the Vocals Broadway, Vocals Open, Acting Open and Instrumentalist Open categories. Congratulations, Anabelle! You held the Summerwood name high.
