HOËRSKOOL BRACKENFELL Horseriding Charlize Hamilton (Grade 12) with her horse Devine Qui took part in SANESA Regionals in Stellenbosch. She received the following: • 1st Place in 1m Equitation • 1st Place in 1.1m Accumulator (Showjumping) • 1st Place in 1.1m Competiton (Showjumping). We are very proud of Charlize on her outstanding triumph.

Treble Rush does it again!
Atletiek Jayson Alan Weber het deelgeneem in die Bahamas Commonwealth Youth Games. Jayson het die 100m- en 200m-wedlope gehardloop en het baie goed gevaar. Hy het die semi-finaal bereik. Hoërskool Brackenfell is baie trots op hom.
We are extremely proud of Treble Rush, Brackenfell High School’s a cappella group. These phenomenal singers have received 97% at The Tygerberg International Eisteddfod. They are under the direction of Mr H Loock Jr, a teacher at Brackenfell High School. “Hard work always pays off. I am very proud of these learners and have big plans for this group.”

HOËRSKOOL DE KUILEN
Chess Kian Blows, captain of the boys chess team of the HS Brackenfell, represented the Western Cape and participated in the South African Schools Winter Games held from 9 to 14 July. He excelled and received a gold medal for his excellent performance. The next tournament was held from 14 to 23 July 2017. In these open matches, he participated in the B-section of the South African Chess Championships in which over 500 players participated. Kian finished second in the U16 age group and first in the U1400 ratings category. He was awarded a silver medal for his remarkable performance. Kian always strives for excellence and he is a dedicated, reliable chess player. He does us proud.
