KPS / WELGEDACHT SPAR RELAY CHALLENGE
This was a great gala with which to start our short but busy season. Five schools joined us for an entertaining 4 x 50m relay gala at the Bellville Municipal Swimming Pool. Kenridge also entered a B team and we were extremely proud of all of the swimmers who took part. For a number of swimmers, this was the first time they had raced in an Olympic-sized pool. We had a number of undefeated teams throughout the afternoon: The girls’ U/10 A relay team, the girls’ U/12 A relay team, the boys’ U/12 A relay team and the boys’ U/14 A relay team. Well done! The following three records were broken: The girls’ U/12 breaststroke relay, and the boys’ U/12 breaststroke relay, and the boys’ U/14 breaststroke relay. Our special congratulations go to these teams.

WHO CARES? LABBIES DO!!
In awareness of cancer month, Labiance Primary School went the extra mile in showing how much we care! In association with the Social Butterfly Campaign, Labiance learners and staff wore the “who cares” tattoo, in aid to raise funds for the Hospice. Learners were eager to purchase tattoo’s and show them off! And of course, being able to wear a tattoo to school, added to the excitement. Our thoughts and prayers go out to every person who has battled with cancer, and all the families currently affected by it. We hope that our awareness has made some difference, and given hope to all survivors, because WHO CARES, well, LABBIES DO!

WISKUNDE
