SAMRO HUBERT VAN DER SPUY NATIONAL MUSIC COMPETITION
From an initial number of 60 competitors from all over South Africa in the first two rounds and 25 in the third, Fairmont High School Grade 8 pupil, Yi Lin (Jacqueline) Choi, was one of the 8 finalists who participated in the final round, held on Friday, 2 October 2015. The runner-up prize for piano went to Yi Lin Choi.

FAIRMONT GOLF TEAM
The Fairmont High School golf team played in the Western Province Schools League Final on Monday, 12 October 2015. The final games were played between the two top teams of the Southern and Northern zone in the three different leagues. Fairmont placed first in the Northern zone in the A league, playing against Reddam House on the Rondebosch Golf Course. After 18 holes Fairmont won the finals 5 to 1 against Reddam House to become the Western Province Schools’ Champions. The team consisted of Tristan Hamilton (captain), Christian Steenkamp, Ian Botha, Connor de Groote, Sarah Soon and Joshua Wiese.
