BRYANSTON PRIMARY SCHOOL (t) 011 7061263 (e) newsletter@bryanstonprimary.co.za Teatro Arti Eisteddfod Bryanston Primary School recently participated in the Teatro Arti Eisteddfod. This is an annual competition currently in its fourth year of existence. It was called into life to provide more opportunities for students wishing to express themselves through performing arts. Bryanston Primary participated, along with 1 200 other students from across Gauteng, in the art eisteddfod (drama, creative writing and visual art). The Bryanston Primary competitors participated in Public Speaking, Reading, Poetry and Unprepared Story Telling. The school is very proud to announce that its participants received: • 4 x A symbols (80-84%) • 8 x A+ symbols (85-89%) • 14 x Honours Diplomas (90-94%) • 5 x Platinum Prestige recognitions (95%+) The children who received a mark of over 85% will now go on to regional participation. In addition, two of the Bryanston Primary learners were selected as category winners: Akira Hargovan for Best Prepared Reader (Grade 7) and Gareth Rigden for Best Public Speaker (Grade 7).

CRAIGHALL PRIMARY SCHOOL (t) 011 788 7223/4 (e) gazette@craighallprimary.co.za Interhouse Cross-Country Our Interhouse Cross-Country was a great success with beautiful weather, maximum participation, and inspiring support from house captains and spectators (pupils and parents alike). Thank you to Miss James and all the staff, as well as the participants, for making this event so successful. Overall, there were some impressive results. The following came in the first three places in their respective age groups: • Boys U6/7/8 & 9: Keanan Munanka, Scott Bray and Bokang Matshekga • Girls U6/7/8 & 9: Matlodi Mabela, Keola Mulombe and Alizah Maher • Boys U10 and 11: Jordan Bowes, Nathan Butchart and Campbell Goggin • Girls U10 and 11: Carrie Schaube-Kuffler, Jade Freeman and Melissa van Zyl • Boys U12 and Open: Aidan Wasserman, Marcus Mangale and Tyrone Smit • Girls U12 and Open: Laura Slowe, Kristina Sheppard and Rachael Steven.
