Sy is ondersteun deur die komediant Schalk Bezuidenhout, wat die gaste op die punte van hulle stoele gehou het met sy kwinkslae. Die aand het begin met ‘n vertoning deur ‘n Russiese balletgroep, waarna die gaste vermaak is deur ‘n strykorkes en die pop-trio BlackByrd. ‘n Voortreflike vyfgang maaltyd is bedien terwyl die modelle, almal leerders van Helpmekaar, uitrustings van Fred Eboka, Jenni Button, Casper Bosman, Yihan Bronn en Gert van der Merwe vertoon het.

Along with Luc Daffarn, from Rondebosch Boys’ High School, they were selected to the SA U18 Doubles to compete in the World Champs in Rotterdam.

SA U19 XI selection King Edward VII School 1st XI captain, Mitchell Van Buuren, received further good news after his recent ‘Gauteng U17 Player of the Year’ award, when he was informed of his selection to the South African U19 Team. Mitch and the SA U19 Team will travel to Sri Lanka next month for an ODI Tour.

Cricketers scoop deserved Gauteng awards At the Gauteng Cricket Awards Evening held on the 12 May, our KES cricketers were rewarded for their hard work during the 2015 season. King Edward 1st XI Captain, Mitchell van Buuren, was awarded ‘Gauteng u17 Player of the Year’. King Edward U14A Captain, Heinrich Pieterse, was awarded ‘Gauteng u13 Player of the Year’. Delville Wood essay competition Congratulations to King Edward VII School learner Tyson Mtshali (Grade 11A) for coming third in the Delville Wood Essay writing competition. He will be representing King Edward VII School in France this summer to commemorate the 100-year anniversary of the Battle of Delville Wood.
