AWSUM VALENTINE’S DAY ASSEMBLY
Hudson Park celebrated Valentine’s Day by showing love to those in need. Through a Valentine’s themed Civvies Day we raised money to assist families affected by childhood cancer. Children were encouraged to wear red, white and pink. A fun assembly allowed learners, from many grades, to showcase their acting, dancing, spoken word and singing skills to encourage the audience to show love for their fellow man. Nan Gravett from CHOC spoke to the assembly about International Childhood Cancer Day, and explained how the organisation assists paediatric cancer patients. Through these efforts we raised R5700 for CHOC.

SABRINA FAIR
Stirling High School proudly presents Sabrina Fair, written by Samuel Taylor and directed by Mr Marc Williams. The play, which is presented by special arrangement with DALRO (Pty) Ltd., is set on Long Island, just outside New York City, in the 1950s. It deals with the wealthy Larrabee family and Sabrina Fairchild, their chauffeur’s daughter. Sabrina lives above the garage, with her father, and when she is of age, she moves to Paris, where she lives and works for five years. When she returns, she is caught in an awkward spot, as she no longer fits in as the chauffer’s daughter nor does she fit in with the Larrabee sons, with whom she grew up. A charming, coming of age story, Sabrina Fair is likened to the story of Cinderella, as we see
