(J. Flanagan 5 for 17 runs). Selborne won by 110 runs. WATERPOLO 1st TEAM St Andrews Shield Waterpolo Tournament 2015 The Selborne 1st Team finished 3rd in the St Andrews Shield. They played solid polo but lost narrowly in the semi-final to Grey PE. Vs Grey PE – lost 2-5; vs Westerford – won 10-1; vs Stirling – won 8-3; vs Glenwood – won 7-6; Semi-Final vs Grey PE – lost 3-4; playing for 3rd/4th vs Glenwood, won 6-4. Three Selborne boys were selected in the tournament side. Congratulations to Ian Donovan, Cole Van Tonder and Stanislav Gospodinov. 3rd TEAM This young team finished 12th out of 16 teams and gained a lot of experience. Vs Hudson 1sts – lost 5-8; vs St Andrews U16A – lost 0-4; vs Paarl Boys 1sts – won 8-0; vs Dale 1sts – won 11-2; vs Alex 1sts – lost 2-5; vs Somerset College 1sts – drew 6-6. 2nd TEAM Our 2nd team were outstanding this week-end winning the St Andrews plate for the first time since 2006. They drew one game winning all the rest.
