STIRLING ACHIEVES ECO-SCHOOL GREEN FLAG STATUS Three years ago Stirling High School registered as an EcoSchool and began working towards and attaining the bronze and silver awards. The Eco-Schools programme is being developed in South Africa as a schoolsimprovement programme that aims at achieving sustainable environmental management. The programme is designed to encourage whole-school learning and action for a healthy environment. Last
year Stirling worked towards the green flag and in this we were required to adopt three themes aimed at learning about environmental issues. We implemented several environmental projects and encouraged learning programmes for learners regarding environmental issues. Following these projects, Stirling attained the sought after Green Flag status and we will be flying our green flag with pride.
