Grade 1s The Grade 1s of Hudson Park Primary School are excited about the start of their journey at “big school” and eager to learn how to read and write. They look smart in their new uniform and feel very proud.
Neuronet
Sunhats and Sip and Crunch
Hudson Park Primary School is one of the first three schools to implement Neuronet as part of their curriculum. It is introduced in all Grade R and Grade 1 classes this year. Neuronet is a program where movement is used for the systematic practice of neural synchrony, synaptic strengthening and temporal binding to create fluency in learning.
At Hudson Park Primary school all Grade R–3 children are encouraged to wear sunhats at break time to make them aware of safety in the sun. Together with this learners from grade R–7 have “sip and crunch” every day at 9am. This is a short break in the classroom to snack on fresh fruit and drink water – our way to create healthy habits from a young age.
