Holiday Care – October 2015 First week – Autumnal Activities This week will involve us exploring in a variety of local woods and parks. We will be using the things we find to make crazy creatures and decorations. Our cooking activities - from baking prickly hedgehog cakes, homemade soups and twisty twig bread sticks - will be equally inspired. We will enjoy making dens for ourselves and the woodland creatures, and lanterns for use as the dark nights draw in. There will be plenty of active play from welly-throwing competitions, playing pooh sticks to an autumn obstacle course. Second Week – Spooky Fun Activities Halloween is just around the corner so we will be making lots of decorations for our party from a spooky mask to dangling spiders’ webs. There will be a special spooky bingo game with lots of other games to make or choose from. There will be outdoor cooking, pumpkin carving and a visit to the local woods to look for bats. We will make our own ‘witches brew’ and enjoy a spooky joke session. Spiders, ghosts and all things black and green will be part of our fun week.
