Finishing the brush
4
Let’s randomize the placement of blades a little. Switch to the Scattering pane, and drag the slider so we scatter the brush along both axes. This produces a more random positioning of the blades, which looks more natural.
5
We can increase the number of blades painted with each stroke, so we can paint more grass in a shorter time. Raise the Count value to 2 or more to do this.
6 Now for some color. Switch to the Color Dynamics pane, and set the Foreground/Background Jitter to 100%.
7 All we need to do now is
choose appropriate foreground and background colors. My selection is shown on the right.
8
Now, when we paint, the grass will be grass colored.
9
Finally, save the brush. We can save all our brushes to a file, so we can retrieve them later. But we can also save our brushes in the Tool Preset panel: this allows us to save their color, as well.
