Message from ADRIANA TIBER RIVER FOUNDER + CEO
I have two favourite times of the year – spring and fall – because both are reflective of change. One from warmth to cold, bright to subtle, energetic to relaxed and the other the exact opposite. As we cozy up to cooler nights, shorter days and a more chill vibe, I can’t help but think of the importance of “our home.” Our home is not only where we put our heads to rest at night, but the community we live in; the parks and the forests, the schools and the buildings, the animals and the people. It’s where we belong, where we fit in, where we make a difference. For me, my home takes on greater importance, for some reason, during this time of year. I want to spend more time in it, doing things that feed my soul. Taking a long, candle-lit bath with a Good Nights bath bomb, carving out a special place to do some puzzles with my children, read a book or contemplate big things. I also take great pleasure in the small things like putting on a pair of warm socks, making a cup of hot tea in my favourite mug or curling up in a cozy blanket. It’s a time to slow down, enjoy simple things and reflect on where we were, how much we have done and how much more we still want to accomplish. There is much to do, but for now, we welcome everyone home, to a calm, comfortable time with people you love and the deeper stability of contentment.

Message from MICHELLE TIBER RIVER PRESIDENT + CHIEF HAPPINESS OFFICER
This past year has certainly taught us the value of “home” as we became physically disconnected from the people in our lives and our world changed in ways we have never experienced before. It was a gentle, quiet reminder of what is truly important. We watched smog ridden cities become clearer, the colour of bodies of water become brighter and new aquatic life showed up in places where there were none. I think we all held our family a bit closer and created safe, nurturing spaces in our homes. The home became our sanctuary as we isolated from the outside world. I’m curious about the new rituals that will remain after we are through this season. Our family enjoyed simple things like cooking and spending quiet time together as a family. I worked on a puzzle for the first time in years. The slower pace offered the gift of time and deeper connections. In 1999, Tiber River began with the purpose of family and creating products that are good for people and the planet. We are proud to create products that can be used in every home, that nurture our bodies with self-care and are kind to our environment. We are very excited to finally be able share these products with our neighbours in the US with the hope of seeing a Tiber product creating happiness in every household.

ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT: THE HEART DECISIONS Sustainability isn’t just a part of our business, it is our business. Our purpose is to create happiness. To do this we must be aware of how our actions affect not only our team and customers, but also our communities and the planet as well. We understand every action has consequences and every decision is made knowing there is rarely a perfect option, but there is often a better option. When creating products, we make decisions in line with our principles with an eye to making the best choice - the choice causing the least amount of harm. We are a building a company to last and we recognize our responsibility to help protect the planet as we seek to be the change we wish to see in the world. To that end, we are: • • • • •
Establishing an understanding of our current performance. Currently, we do not measure how much waste we produce or how much carbon we generate, neither do we have a current measure of most key environmental markers. We need to know how we measure up in the present to ensure the actions we take going forward are actually working to reduce our environmental footprint. Setting environmental goals for 2026. Setting tangible goals provides short-term motivation and long-term direction and accountability. Goals trigger new behaviour, innovation, focus, and ultimately, greater success. Creating a sustainability roadmap to guide us for the next 5 years. This roadmap will be our directional light, leading us towards the goals we have identified with achievable steps to hit our targets. Sharing our progress freely and without reservation. It is important to be accountable and do what we say we are going to do. We will publicly provide regular updates on what we have done. Actively pursuing B Corp status. B Corporation status is a certification standard for social and environmental performance. Companies need an assessed score of 80 to apply. On our initial assessment, we scored 75.3, and we’re working diligently to take the steps necessary to meet or exceed the requirement.
While we currently undertake many environmental protection efforts, the world of tomorrow needs more than the complacency of yesterday’s best efforts. Understanding our impact and addressing our actions is a complex and never-ending process. We need to do better in our understanding of our actions, track our changes and then, commit to even more. INGREDIENTS NEVER FOUND IN OUR PRODUCTS:
Mineral Oil - a non-renewable resource that is a by-product of refined crude oil to make gasoline and other petroleum products. You will often find it listed as petrolatum or paraffinum. Cocamide DEO and MEA - a chemically modified form of coconut oil that has shown to be toxic. It can bind heavy metals in water to essentially suffocate fish and aquatic wildlife. Parabens - often a skin irritant that is used as a preservative in cosmetics that contain water. We use Potassium Sorbate instead. Triclosan, Sodium Laurel or Laureate Sulfate (SLS, SLES), Polyethelene glycol (PEG), BHT and BHA. And we never test our human products on animals (we do try our pet products on our pets).
