6: The island Smøla is located far out to sea, in an amazing archipelago consisting of more than 6,000 islands, islets and skerries. There are both long and short trips, and all are well signposted. The island is flat and ideal for cycling; the highest point on the island is approx. 70 MASL. There is also a road that goes from islet to islet out to Veiholmen fishing village. 7: In Nordmarka, north of Surnadal, you can enjoy a bicycle ride in an outstretched, quiet and diverse nature area. The route follows gravel roads between forests and heaths, in a terrain that is level enough to be suitable for the whole family. 8: Island hopping around Ona Try the trip west of Molde to the islands in Midsund, Harøya, Ona and Gossen. Recommended over several days, with overnight stays during the trip.

4: Aursjøveien
– Long roundtrip Eidsvåg – Eikesdal – Sunndal – Eidsvåg ( ca 155 km) on both gravel and tarmac surfaces. Tough ascent up Finnsetlia. There is a dark tunnel, so bring a light, says Kurt Asle about Aursjøveien. The bicycle trip from Eikesdalen up Finnsetlia to Aursjøen is a real test of strength, but a very popular trip among cyclists. The road levels out near the Aursjø Dam. Here you will find Aursjøhytta (a DNT cabin), which is staffed during the summer season.
5: Innerdalen
– Start by the shop in Ålvundeid. A nice and easy ride on tarmac and gravel to the Innerdalshytta cabin, approx. 30 km in total, is how Kurt Asle describes this trip. Innerdal in Sunndal is referred to by man as Norway’s most beautiful mountain valley. Innerdal enjoys an east-to-west location in Sunndal, 10 km from Sunndalsøra, and is accessed via RV 70. Innerdal is the entryway to Trollheimen. Some steep sections.
