Molde University College - Specialized University in Logistics (HiMolde) is the leading provider of logistics education in Norway, with programmes at BSc, MSc and PhD level. HiMolde offers a 2 year international MSc programme in Logistics open for Norwegian students and international students with Individual Funding.
Logistics deals with the organization of the flow of products, services and information from raw materials to the end user. It is built on a broad specter of disciplines, such as economics, information/communication technology, business administration, organization and management, besides quantitative techniques based on mathematics, operations research and statistics. MSc programme in Logistics: • Operation Management emphasizes the operational challenges in production, transportation, inventory and distribution, and the quantitative methods used in managing and optimizing logistics operations and processes. • Supply Chain Management aims at giving the students knowledge and understanding of strategic and managerial processes within firms, and emphasizes the problems and solutions associated with the management of logistics activities and interorganizational issues, like industrial organization, purchasing and supply management. Within this study option one can choose sub-variants of Advanced Supply Chain Management, Transportation or Information Systems. The Master’s degree will also qualify to apply for the PhD programme in logistics at Molde University College, as well as other programmes nationally and internationally.
