• NSHE (Nevada System of Higher Education) has been designated an

Education Point of Dispensing (POD) for Clark County and will administer vaccinations for PreK-12 educators, staff and providers. This includes Clark County School District, charter schools, and private schools. Vaccinations occurring at UNLV campus and CSN Henderson location. M-Fri 8am-5pm. • All PreK-12 employees will receive a link to register through their district or school. Once eligible, they will receive an invitation with a link to schedule an appointment. Questions should be directed to their school administrators or health-check@nv.ccsd.net.

1. The website portal that allows CCSD teachers and staff to sign up for the CVOID-19 vaccine is now live. Here’s how it works: CCSD employees will go to the following link and start the process of filling in information. UNLV Medicine COVID Vaccine Registration • After submitting the information, staff will receive an email telling them that they are registered. They will then receive a link to a second part of the portal when they are eligible to schedule a vaccination appointment.

• The email said vaccines will be prioritized based on a person’s role within the district. • At this time, the only people who have access to it are CCSD employees. • Teachers also need to enter their vaccination information with the district through a separate portal to be tracked.

2. NSHE(Nevada System of Higher Education) is providing vaccinations to priority groups based on the state’s latest vaccine playbook. • The UNLV vaccination site is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday on the UNLV Maryland Parkway campus. The CSN Henderson campus site will open Thursday, Jan. 21. Its regular hours will be 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

• Appointments and proof of eligibility are required at both campuses.

3. PreK-12 educators, staff and providers, UNLV faculty, staff and students defined below, and frontline health care, public sa fety and emergency response roles are currently being vaccinated. Individuals in other roles at UNLV will receive an email invitation to register when their roles become eligible for vaccinations. Under the state’s latest playbook, this will include: • instructional and administrative faculty and all non-instructional staff across the NSHE system who must work on campus, in close contact with others, and who cannot and have not been able to conduct their job duties from home, and faculty, staff and stud ents who are 70 years old and older. • A few important things to note about registration: • Your information and your role will be cross-referenced to determine your vaccination eligibility.

• Be sure to complete all fields on the registration form. Your appointment is subject to cancellation if full information is n ot provided. • You will be asked to upload a photo of your insurance card if you have one. While your insurance will be billed for services, you will not receive a bill and will not incur a personal charge for the vaccine. • You may be able to select a preferred date and time for vaccination based on appointment availability. If appointments are no t available, instructions will be provided through the registration site. • You will receive an email confirmation with the location for your vaccination. Do not go to the vaccination site without confirmation. • You will be notified when you arrive at the vaccination site which vaccine is being administered that day. •


What to expect and what to bring with you…. •

4. Remember, stay home if you’re not feeling well or have recently been exposed to someone with COVID-19.

Bring the following:

Verification of employment (employee ID, timesheet or paystub)

Government-issued photo ID (driver’s license, passport or other ID card)

Confirmation email of your appointment

Insurance card, if you have one (you will not be billed for your vaccination)

Letter or email from your employer notifying you of your eligibility

During your appointment:

You will be provided with the vaccine available that day. You will not be notified in advance if the vaccine administered on a given day will be from Pfizer or Moderna.

You will receive a CDC vaccination record card noting the type of vaccine (Moderna or Pfizer) you received, and the date you will need to return for your second dose.

You will scan a QR code from the CDC to register for V-Safe. If you do not have a mobile device, you can register on the CDC website. This will enroll you in periodic text message check-ins to monitor how you are feeling after your vaccine.

Per CDC recommendation, you must remain onsite for 15-30 minutes for observation after you receive the vaccination.

After receiving your vaccination:

Depending on the vaccine you receive, you will be scheduled to return 21 to 28 days later. It is vital that you return for your second dose for the vaccination to effectively protect you against contracting COVID-19.

You will receive appointment reminders before your second dose appointment via phone, text and/or email.
