Tortoiseshell Pagoda Top Tea Caddy, with silver lid cartouche and lock escutcheon (no key), metal stringing, flared apron and metal ball form feet, velvet lid interior, with two tortoiseshell veneer lidded interior compartments with traces of foil lining, 6 1/4” high, 7 1/4” x 4 1/4”. Painted corner veneer repairs, veneer crack repair to back panel. $1,200 - $1,400

SLANT FRONT DESK - Chippendale Figured Mahogany Desk with Serpentine Front, having an exposed dovetail case, the molded breadboard end slant front lid concealing a fitted interior consisting of stepped drawers, the center shell carved, with compartments above having shaped dividers and valances; the lower case having four graduated conforming serpentine beaded edge drawers with what may be the original butterfly brasses, over a molded base with pendant center, raised on squat bracketed ball and claw feet, 32 1/2” to working surface, 44” x 43” x 22” (at base). Hepplewhite Style Octagonal Inlaid Mahogany Sewing Stand, with shell inlaid and cross banded hinged lid with ebony edging, ebony inlaid lock escutcheon (with key), apron with barber pole inlaid base edge, interior fitted with (12) lidded compartments and (2) open compartments, (note: interior contains a table mount pin cushion with drawer), with X-stretcher base, set on square tapered legs, 29 1/4” high, 22 1/4” x 16”. Shrinkage crack to base of case. $700 - $900

2151 RICHARD PAULI (NY, 1855-1892) - River Scene with Early Suspension Bridge, oil on linen laid to Upson board, signed lower left, possibly depicting the “The Gateway to the West”, the pre-Civil War bridge spanning the main channel of the Ohio River at Wheeling, West Virginia. It was the largest suspension bridge in the world from 1849 until 1851. In later gold molded frame, OS: 27 1/2” x 38 1/2”, SS: 22 1/2” x 33 1/2”. Good condition. $2,000 - $3,000 122
