Add in Europe’s strict guidelines when it comes to quality and standards, along with their ethical working conditions and fair labour practices, and you get products that are only ever made with painstaking attention to detail an d a dedication to performance and innovation.
At the end of the day, Pulsar aren’t just building gear – we’re building trust with the people who rely on it, and that’s something we take serious ly. With Pulsar, you’re not just getting high-tech; you’re getting gear that’s b uilt to last.
Every Pulsar device has been built with the demands of a modern hunter in mind, withstanding the bumps, knocks, and scrapes one would expect during a long day o r night in the field. Each model features a robust construction that has been designed to keep y our device running at the top of its game in adverse weather and extreme temperatures.
Image latency refers to the time delay between an object and a thermal imager’s display caused by the reaction time of the sensor and the time required by the device for processing. Pulsar’s thermal imaging devices are well regarded for their low image latency, which is a crucial factor for hunters, significantly reducing the likelihood of a delay or lag in the device’s display. The use of European-made sensors and proprietary image processing algorithms ensures enhanced image quality and enables greater accuracy.
Pulsar devices use their own unique batteries, to ensure two things — your safety and the continued smooth operation of your devices. There are several benefits to choosing a B-Pack over Lithium-Ion batteries, including their ability to display the charge level directly on your device’s screen (a crucial feature for long days and nights in the field), and the ability to recharge them inside or outside of the device via a USB-C charger. But it is your safety that takes precedenc e.
B-Packs use a special casing that features a microcontroller to control the charging and discharging processes, monitor temperature, and protect against external da mage. The B-Pack’s special protective casing prevents short circuits and overheating, significantly re ducing the risk of combustion that comes with conventional Lithium-Ion batteries. When it comes to hunting, P ulsar B-Packs also feature soft dampers that protect cells from a rifle’s recoil impact and acts as cushionin g when the device is in transit.
Pulsar’s not just about what’s happening now – we’re thinking a bout what’s next. We don’t want to just follow trends; we want to create solutions t hat last. That’s why, with the release of the Telos series back in 2023, we introduce d the first upgradeable thermal imaging devices to the market, providing enhanced longevity and ensuring our users could get the best from their device for years to come, without having to buy a completely new product. Pulsar offers an intuitive user interface that remains uniform across almost every device — whether that’s a monocular, riflescope, or front attachment — with menus and digi which model you are using. This uniformity achieves a sense of familiarity which allows you to focus more on your objective and less on figuring out how to operate the device.
We believe spec sheets should reflect what users actually experience — not just ideal lab conditions. That’s why we publi honest, and comparable performance data across all key areas.
Thermal Sensitivity: Sensor (NETD) vs. System NETD (sNETD) types of NETD (Noise Equivalent Temperature Difference):
• Sensor NETD shows the raw sensitivity of the sensor, without enhancements.
• System NETD (sNETD) includes image processing and reflects how t device performs in real use.
To ensure our performance is judged on equal terms we quote bot NETD (sNETD) — the same standard many brands use. Unlike some b excessive filtering that lowers NETD at the cost of clarity, det moving. With Pulsar, you get advanced processing — without sacr ificing image quality.
Detection Ranges You Can Trust: Our detection ranges are calculated using Johnson’s Criteria, the industry benchmark for thermal performance. All fi gures are based on standard target sizes and repeatable testing — so what’s listed is what’s achievable in the field.
Honest Battery Life: Our proprietary batteries allow us to accurately quote runtime at a standard temperature for consistency. Actual performance varies depending onhow you use features like Wi-Fi, video recording, or the laser rangefinder — and we make that clear. Our goal is simple: relia ble, real-world figures, not marketing exaggerations.
Clarity You Can Count On: From NETD to battery life, we focus on accuracy over hype — so you can choose and use Pulsar devices with confidence.
All Pulsar products use high-quality French-made Lynred thermal sensors, available in two pixel pitches—17µm and 12µm—with multiple resolution options: 17µm pixel sensors: 384×288 & 640×480 / 12µm pixel sensors: 640×480, 1024×768, & 1280×1024
Each pixel pitch offers distinct advantages:
17µm pixels are larger and can capture more infrared radiation, resulting in a higher signal-to-noise ratio (SNR). This improve s thermal sensitivity, especially in low-contrast environments. Because these sensors gather more thermal energy per pixel, they often require less aggressive image enhancement, which can lead to faster image processing and reduced power consumption.
12µm pixels, while smaller, typically come at a lower cost and allow for greater base magnification due to their higher resolution options. These sensors are ideal when fine detail and larger sensor arrays are needed.
The Thermion 2 LRF 60 series features three thermal imaging riflescopes designed to achieve unmatched precision through the choice of XP, XG, and XL sensors and a brand-new 60mm objective lens. Specifically designed for hunting small, fast-moving targets, these thermal imaging riflescopes will allow you to shoot at long range with confidence in both day- and night-time conditions. Accuracy is enhanced even further through the large eye box, which enables fast target acquisition and, along with the industry leading 65mm of eye relief, ensures a comfortable, safe, shooting experience.
The Thermion 2 LRF 60 series will present a crystal-clear, high contrast image onto an HD AMOLED display, retaining excellent image quality through its 8x digital
magnification without any excessive pixelation — ensuring the important anatomical features of an observed animal are easily discernible and providing a detailed view of your target and their surroundings for better situational awareness.
Precision and accuracy are built into the Thermion 2 LRF 60’s DNA, with a seamlessly integrated laser rangefinder providing accurate distance measurements at up to 800m, so you can ascertain the distance between you and your target. The ability to connect to the Stream Vision Ballistics app will even allow you to set up a personalised shooting profile. The app will then provide the suggested point of aim for your selected calibre, allowing you to shoot safely and confidently.
The Thermion 2 LRF

Two viewfinders are better than one, especially when it comes to comfort in the field, and comfort is what the Merger LRF series has been designed for. Achieving hours of fatigue-free long-range observation, every model in the series has been ergonomically designed — with six buttons controlling the most commonly used functions and settings conveniently arranged where your fingers would naturally rest — whilst retaining the familiar design aesthetics usually found in a pair of traditional day binoculars. Plus, the ability to choose between square, rounded, and circular display shapes to match your preferences adds that extra level of comfort and customisability.
But this focus on comfort in no way detracts from
the durability and performance of these devices. Each model features premium quality Europeanmade components, providing an outstanding thermal performance, whilst their robust magnesium alloy construction ensures this performance is never hindered by adverse weather conditions or extreme temperatures.
Two models are available in the Merger LRF series — the compact Merger LRF XP35 and the premium HD Merger LRF XT50 — both, as their names suggest, feature a builtin precision laser rangefinder for greater accuracy and informativity in the field. Precise measurements can be gathered at distances reaching up to 1000m ±1m (XP35) and 1500m ±1m (XT50).
