ORCHARD DATE: 5/10 - BUILT PHASE 1, 5/11 TO PRESENT - UNDERGOING CONSTRUCTION For this design for a local elementary school, I researched native species that were drought tolerant and vibrant in color. I also drafted a pollinator area for bees, butterflies and caterpillars to compliment teachers’ curriculum studies and programmed an outdoor classroom with raised beds for seeds.

DATE: 6/11 - SOLD AND CONSTRUCTED An Atlanta church approached my former employer PEC for a courtyard design. I collaborated with another landscape architect on the design and estimated the planting plan. I illustrated and presented the final design which won approval from the client and sold.

DATE: 5/12 TO PRESENT - UNDERGOING CONSTRUCTION For a freelance job for my former employer PEC, I made a model and 3D flythrough animation for a proposed mixed use development. I interpreted the site to be a bustling outdoor mall with ample sidewalks, a plaza and shaded seating areas.

I launched a school garden on 5/10 along with Professor Brad Davis, teacher Kay Parrish, and the Keep Athens Clarke County Beautiful board. I spent over 100 hours in designing and building the garden. I volunteered from 5/10 - 5/12. I joined the Rivanna Conservation Society board on 2/13. As a board member, I guided a kayaking trip down the Rivanna river that raised money for the RCS and consulted with the RCS about monitoring bacteria levels in streams, creek restorations, and community engagement. I joined the Neighborhood Development Center and UME Community Garden team to build a school garden on 2/14. I currently collaborate with three other members and outside contacts to design and build a garden in College Park, Maryland.
