ESSENTIALS OF PUMPING TECHNOLOGY LEVEL FOUR (QCF).
THE SYLLABUS
For those who have day-to-day involvement with pumps and pumping systems, this course aims to provide the knowledge needed to cover normal situations. Likely candidates are all personnel who manage or are involved in designing, specifying, selling, sourcing, installing, servicing and maintaining pumping equipment.
The course qualification recognises the ability to gain and - where relevant - apply a range of knowledge and understanding. Learning at this level involves building knowledge and is appropriate for the many job roles. Again the course is arranged in chapters, each concluding with a short test that covers the coursework. Subject to satisfactory coursework, a ÄUHS HZZLZZTLU[ PZ H\[OVYPZLK ( WHZZ YH[L VM must be achieved for those questions that meet the 56*5 HJJYLKP[H[PVU HZZLZZTLU[ JYP[LYPH PU [OL ÄUHS HZZLZZTLU[ PU VYKLY [V NHPU 56*5 JLY[PÄJH[PVU ;OL JV\YZL ^PSS [HRL \W [V OV\YZ [V JVTWSL[L HUK is academically at the same level as a HNC. The NOCN has approved the course at Level Four with UPUL JYLKP[Z 6MX\HS 8\HSPÄJH[PVU 3 ? ;OL 56*5 JLY[PÄJH[L ^PSS VUS` YLJVYK H WHZZ Therefore, the BPMA will also issue an additional JLY[PÄJH[L (Z [OL JV\YZL JV]LYZ ^PKLY PZZ\LZ [OHU assessed by the NOCN, the BPMA award is on the ^OVSL VM [OL ÄUHS [LZ[ [OH[ ^PSS ZOV^ [OL NYHKPUN VM pass, credit or distinction. The course time limit is eight months from the date of registration. The Final Test limit is three days.
