At GII, secondary school students work in teams with U of T student mentors, faculty and expert practitioners to tackle a real-world problem without a current solution and build the tools, knowledge, and guidance to develop innovative solutions to complex world issues.
After months of research, collaboration, and discussion, GII culminates in a final symposium.
Each group of high school students presents their unique solution for the year’s challenge topic to professors and leading experts in the field, who act as expert judges to observe and provide feedback on the recommendations.
