Remembering Jane Stewart

CONTINUING THE WESTVIEW STORY

In October, The Westview School celebrated Founder's Day, honoring the legacy of our founder, Jane Stewart. Dressed in Westview blue, students and staff filled the campus with school spirit and pride.

The day began with a special morning assembly featuring a retelling of The Westview School history from our Upper School students. They highlighted Mrs. Jane's vision and Westview's journey from its modest beginnings in 1981 to the growing community it is today. It is always a joy to watch our students showcase their public speaking skills and a reminder of how Westview continues teaching the values Mrs. Jane held dear.

This year, with the exciting launch of Westview High School on the horizon, we announced plans for a commemorative time capsule to be buried near Jane's Story Spot. It will hold mementos reflecting today's Westview and will be opened in 2040—the high school graduation year of our current Early Childhood class.

The celebration concluded with an all-school photo, capturing this moment of unity and joy. It was a day to honor Westview's history, celebrate the present, and look forward to the bright future. Westview is such a special little school, and we are all thankful to the visionary woman who made it all possible!
