Since their inception in 2005, Pan-Pot have become a dominant presence in modern techno, an ascent mirrored in the rise of their home label mobilee records to the top tier of electronic music. Tagging themselves as “the dark side of the force,” What were your early memories of getting into music? Tassilo: I grew up with classical music as my parents are very much into it. But my father also liked ABBA... a lot, So i remember sitting in the car with my dad and he had 2 ABBA tapes. We listened to it until the very bad end. Thats the reason why i have to puke these days when i hear ABBA. Thomas: For me it was A-HA with “Take on Me”. My Mom listened to it in the kitchen all the time when she was cooking, and also Madonna. I still like both of them now.

Do you find that crowds in London allow you to play a wider range of music than other cities? Tassilo: London people have always been very open minded about music I think and that shows at the parties we played at. The music scene in London has always been pretty openminded with a broad spectrum of music accepted. Are they your favourite type of gigs, where you have a free reign? Thomas: yes totally! We usually take that freedom but know there is a difference in playing at a big festival stage or at a beach party. It’s fun creating a good atmosphere together with the people, who come to see us.

Are you looking forward to play at OneMore?have you ever played in a Car Park before? Tassilo: Oh yes, always looking forward to play in London and especially as we have never played at a Car Park but have heard great things. Thomas: Londons calling and we have come!
