Activity reported this week by the Wakulla County Sheriff’s Office: THURSDAY, OCT. 15

• A Crawfordville parent reported inappropriate contact over the Internet between her juvenile daughter and an unknown male. Someone requested inappropriate pictures of the juvenile as well as her address. The victim has been contacted on several social media platforms. The parent was reminded to do a screenshot of anything she found to be inappropriate or questionable. Deputy Brett Surace investigated. FRIDAY, OCT. 16 • Adriana Rojo of Crawfordville reported the loss of her U.S. Passport. The complainant is unsure where or when the Passport was lost. Deputy Ashley McAlister investigated. • Philip Guzzetta of Alligator Point reported the theft of steel tubes from Ochlockonee Bay. The tubes are valued at $600 and were designed for a repair of a boat. A suspect has been identified. Deputy Ashley McAlister and Lt. Jimmy Sessor investigated. SATURDAY, OCT. 17 • A 49-year -old Crawfordville man reported an aggravated assault. The victim was at the intersection of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Road and Klickitat Drive when a female reportedly ran toward his vehicle with a machete. The female struck the vehicle as the victim accelerated away. Louelyn Gaw Bailey, 49, of Crawfordville was removed from her residence by Deputy Matt Hedges. Prior to

being detained, Bailey spontaneously stated she attacked the victim due to people stealing lumber from her yard. Drug paraphernalia was allegedy found on the suspect and the residue tested positive for cocaine. She was charged with aggravated assault, criminal mischief and possession of drug paraphernalia. Deputy Ashley McAlister also investigated. • Carressa Warren of Crawfordville reported a vehicle burglary. Someone broke into the victim’s vehicle and removed a driver license and wrote on the center console. Damage to the vehicle is estimated at $55. Deputy Vicki Mitchell and Deputy Kenneth Miller investigated. SUNDAY, OCT. 18 • Three juveniles created a disturbance in Sopchoppy when two boys, a 15 year old and a 14 year old, struck a 12-year-old boy near Park Avenue and City Park. Deputy Ashton Lesane interviewed the victim and two suspects, but due to conflicting statements and no independent witness the case was forwarded to the Criminal Investigations Division. A knife allegedly displayed during the incident was recovered and submitted into evidence. Deputy Kyle Hanks also investigated. • An abandoned vehicle was reported on Lee Miller Road. The vehicle was sitting in the road, locked with lights on. A male subject entered the Church of Fresh Oil Ministry and displayed erratic behavior. He was asked to leave the church and went into the woods. The man was believed to be the one driving the vehicle. Deputy Vicki Mitch-

ell could not determine an owner of the vehicle as the tag was registered to a Mercedes and the vehicle number came back to a Ford Taurus. The registration had been cancelled by a citizen in South Florida in 2014. A wrecker removed the vehicle from the roadway. It was entered into the NCIC/FCIC data base as abandoned and towed. The man who entered the church was not located. Deputy Kenneth Miller also investigated. MONDAY, OCT. 19 • Dorothy Mitchell of Wakulla Parks and Recreation reported a felony criminal mischief at Hickory Park in Crawfordville. Witnesses reported that individuals were jumping up and down on the tennis net cable and fled the area once the net and cable broke. Damage is estimated at $600. Deputy Gibby Gibson investigated. TUESDAY, OCT. 20 • Nicholas Bruijn of Crawfordville reported a vehicle theft. The victim loaned his vehicle to a friend who never returned it. The vehicle is valued at $2,500 and was entered into the NCIC/FCIC data base as stolen. The suspect has been identified. Deputy Taylor Saladin investigated. • Detective Richard Moon and Detective Clint Beam arrested Lucas Dominic Degennaro, 35, of Crawfordville in connection with the theft of three kayaks taken from the Mysterious Waters boat ramp rack. Victims Della Parker-Hanson and Laura Wharton reported the theft of their kayaks on Oct. 7 and Betsy Smith reported her kayak stolen on Oct. 8.

A witness observed the suspect with multiple kayaks in the neighborhood. A fourth kayak was also stolen, but detectives have not been able to determine the ownership. Two kayaks, Smith’s and the unknown victim, have been recovered. The whereabouts of the Wharton and Hanson kayaks remains unknown. Degennaro faces three counts of grand theft. He was transported to the Wakulla County Jail without incident. • Bonnie Armour of Crawfordville reported a fraudulent account opened in her name. The victim received a letter from a bank denying a credit line. The victim did not seek a credit line and the application was unauthorized. The victim did not suffer any monetary loss. Deputy Taylor Saladin investigated. • A concerned citizen observed a white female remove a shopping cart full of merchandise from WalM a r t w i t h o u t p a ying for it. The citizen followed the subject onto Linzy Store Road where she fled into the woods while leaving the cart and merchandise behind. A cell phone owned by the subject was seized in the shopping cart. The subject removed 98 items from the store with a value of $1,496. The items were returned to the store. The case was turned over to the Criminal Investigations Division. Deputy Ethan Ard investigated. WEDNESDAY, OCT. 21 • John Antill of Eden Springs Nursing Home reported a grand theft. Someone removed a pressure washer from the facility shed. The washer is valued at

$399. The washer was entered into the NCIC/FCIC data base as stolen. Deputy Vicki Mitchell investigated. • Katie Caldwell of Panacea reported a criminal mischief. Two vehicle tires of the victim’s vehicle were slashed. Damage is estimated at $300. A suspect has been identified. This is the second time the victim’s vehicle has been vandalized during the past month. Deputy Ashton Lesane investigated. THURSDAY, OCT. 22 • Deputy Ashley McAlister conducted a traffic stop on U.S. Highway 98 near St. Marks. The vehicle was missing a headlight. Brian Lee Rivera, 35, of Crawfordville was determined not to possess a valid driver license. Rivera was arrested for driving while license suspended or revoked-habitual offender. Rivera’s license was suspended in 2009. • Sgt. Danny Harrell and Deputy Kenneth Miller were conducting security checks in the Wakulla Gardens area when they observed individuals at a home that should have been empty. After talking to the homeowner and confirming that nobody should be in the home, Sgt. Harrell, Deputy Miller and Deputy Ashley McAlister made contact with the individuals in the home. Drug paraphernalia was observed in the dining room with residue consistent with the use of smoking methamphetamine. More drug paraphernalia was found in a bedroom and bathroom. Deputy Matt Hedges tested paraphernalia in the bedroom which tested positive for cocaine.

Christopher Charles Butler, 33, of Crawfordville and Misty Lynn Attewell, 28, of Crawfordville admitted to being in the bedroom. They were charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a controlled substance. Marijuana was observed in a pack of cigarettes and a contact lens case contained a white crystalline substance in it owned by Edward Eugene Spence, 36, of Crawfordville. He was charged with possession of marijuana less than 20 grams, possession of narcotics equipment and possession of a controlled substance. Prior to taking Lisa Marie Wells, 27, of Crawfordville into custody for possession of drug paraphernalia she produced meth and Alpha-PVP (Flakka) along with $96 and more drug paraphernalia. She was charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell and possession of methamphetamine with intent to sell. Anthony Alden Hertz, 30, of Crawfordville admitted that a pack of cigarettes was his. The pack contained a bag with a white powdery substance in it. He was arrested for possession of meth and possession of drug paraphernalia. All five subjects were transported to the Wakulla County Jail without incident. Approximately five grams of methamphetamine was seized along with five grams of Alpha-PVP (Flakka) and three grams of marijuana. The Wakulla County Sheriff’s Office received 907 calls for service during the past week.
