Thomas French Barbara Lasater
Barbara May Callahan Lasater, 98, of Clinton passed away November 18, 2016, at her home. Born November 28, 1917, to the late Paul and Lula Allison Callahan in Ester, Missouri, Barbara was a homemaker. Barbara was a member of the Half Moon Baptist Church, the Home Demonstration Club, and was one of the founders of the Highway 110 Fire Department. Left to cherish her memory are three daughters and one son, Betty Tisdell and husband Johnny of Connersville, Oklahoma, Linda Bagley and husband Jerry, Deb Thomas and husband James, Ronnie Sikes and wife Denise, all of Clinton; sisters Bonnie June Bruton and husband John of Rogerville, Missouri, as well as Nickey Mullican of Ozark, Missouri; three half-brothers; four half-sisters; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren; her caretaker, Betty Davis of Clinton; as well as many nieces, nephews, friends and other family. Barbara is preceded in death by her husband, Elmer A. Lasater; one son, Derril Sikes; two grandchildren; three sisters; and three brothers. Pallbearers are Lance Alexander, Gary Ring, Ed Johnson, Mikeal Sikes, Bryan Sikes, and Rusty Downey. Honorary Pallbearers are Johnny Bruton, Bob Jackson, and Charles Black. Thomas Luke French, 92, of Clinton, Arkansas, died Monday, November 14, 2016, at Ozark Health Medical Center in Clinton. He was born March 3, 1924, at Johnny Creek, Arkansas, to the late Thomas Jefferson and Della Bramlett French. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of over 67 years, Anna Faye French; five brothers; and one sister. He is survived by two sons, John French and wife Pat, and Robert French, all of Clinton; two daughters, Kathy Harness and husband Jimmy Dale of Oxley, Arkansas, and Carolyn Shellnut and husband Chuck of Little Rock, Arkanas; six grandchildren, Cheri Gregg, Jim Harness and wife Josie, Steven French and wife Amanda, Tanya Riley and husband Brian, Wyatt York and Gracie York; seven great-grandchildren, several great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Pallbearers were Wyatt York, Jeff Beavers, William Webb, Bobby Bramlett, Darrin Ward and Randy Payne. Honorary Pallbearers: Roy Webb, Jeff Weiner and Bob Collister. Johnny Harper
Johnny Bruce Harper, 81, of Shirley was born July 15, 1935, to the late Benton and Mary (Ramsey) Harper in Shirley, Arkansas, and passed from this life on November 14, 2016, at his home. Mr. Harper was a beloved father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was well-known and loved in the community, and was a right-of-way supervisor for Arkansas Electric Company having served the company for 33 years. Johnny was a Christian and attended the Shirley Community Church. He is preceded in death by his parents; one son-in-law, Ricky Bane; three sisters-in-law, Ann Brown, Lou Ragsdale, Ollie Harper; two brothers-in-law, Kenneth Ragsdale, John Clark Jr.; and one nephew, Matthew Clark. Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 58 years, JoNan; one son, Shane Harper (Ashley) of Shirley; three daughters. Susan Evans (John) of Shirley, Kelly Leonard (Billy) of Bee Branch, and Sandra Berry (Brian) of Shirley; eight grandchildren, Lindsey Sutterfield (Matt), Lauren Bane, Benton Berry, Graysen Berry, Blair Berry, Chase Parks, Mollie Leonard and Creed Leonard; one great-grandchild, Madalynn Sutter-

Helen Palangio
Helen Isabel Palangio, born September 22, 1924, in Greensburg, Pennsylvania, the daughter of the late John Bishop and Sophie Bishop Zacchetti, passed away Wednesday, November 16, 2016, at the Salem Nursing Home in Conway, Arkansas. She ran a cleaning store in Chicago, Illinois, and was a professional tailor. Her last 40 years were spent in Arkansas establishing the 108 Ranch and raising beef cattle. Helen enjoyed working on the farm and enjoyed life to its fullest while being a very independent person. Her husband Nick, who was a pilot for American Airlines, preceded her in death in 1993. He also was a cancer victim. She is survived
November 22 2016 by her son Nick J. Palangio and daughter-in-law Sharon Palangio, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Visitation was Monday, November 21, 2016, at the Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Clinton, Arkansas. Funeral services followed at 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment was at the Pine Mountain Cemetery in Damascus, Arkansas. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society. Douglas Chronister Byron Crownover
Charles Byron Crownover, was born March 11, 1958, in Clinton, Arkansas, a son to JV Crownover and Billy Melton Crownover. Byron passed away on Saturday, November 12, 2016, at the age of 58 after a long battle with ALS. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Clinton. Byron’s family was the joy of his life. He lived each day to the fullest with his contagious smile and wonderful sense of humor. He will be missed by everyone who knew him. He is preceded in death by his parents. Douglas Wayne Chronister, 60, of North Little Rock passed away Monday, November 14, 2016, in Dabney. Born August 11, 1956, in Pratt, Kansas, to Marvin Chronister and Karen Dodson Stickley, Doug ran his own business in custom shutters. In his free time, he enjoyed the outdoors and his music and his family and friends.
