Script Writing Workshop: Thursday 12 July, 6:00pm – 8:00pm. Pete Malicki has written over 70 short plays, won 21 awards and currently works as an editor and teacher. He has been the International Literary Manager of Short+Sweet, the largest short play festival in the world, four times and has been the coordinator of artist development program Crash Test Drama for close to a decade. Author Talk - Carolinda Witt: Tuesday 17 July, 6:15pm – 7:30pm. Writer Carolinda Witt will discuss her biography, Double Agent Celery: MI5’s Crooker Hero. MI5 assigned double agent Celery, an ex RNAS Officer Walter Dicketts to persuade the Germans he was a traitor—then extract crucial secrets. Walter’s granddaughter Carolinda pulls together family and official records, anecdotes and memories, police records and newspaper articles to tell the almost unbelievable true story of the most mysterious and fascinating British double agent during WW2.
