Sustaining the Scranton Legacy For many of our alumni, a Scranton education is a family tradition. This fall, 71 daughters and sons of Scranton alumni — including 15 from alumni couples – entered the University. Their parents and, in some cases, grandparents are among the 43,500 alumni who have chosen Scranton for their education. At right are the members of the Class of 2014 who are following in the footsteps of their parents who are Scranton alumni. Alumni parents and their students who are members of the Class of 2014 gathered with University President Rev. Scott R. Pilarz, S.J., and John F.
