Born in Flint Michigan, Channon “Chanenray” Stevenson has been singing, writing, dancing and acting since the tender age of 4. Influenced by such legends as Janet Jackson, Toni Braxton, Mary J. Blige, Maroon 5 and Kendrick Lamar, Chanenray is no amateur when it comes to the performing arts. After competing in several contests with various dance groups, Chanenray decided that it was time to embark on a solo career. She began taking massive action by writing songs for American Idol and recording music with prominent producers Timothy PeeWee Moore (DreamState Studios) and Bernard Terry (Area521 Studios).
The Bedrock Diva released her first album, “BIPOLAR EXPRESSIONS,” which includes colorful music that any and everyone can relate to. She focuses on real life situations and hardships, highlighting her definition of mental illness through the art of sound.
