As the founder of Homes by Vanda and a Realtor at Keller Williams City Views Realty, Ms. Ondrus has carved her niche by expertly serving clients from multicultural backgrounds. A native of Slovakia, she is fluent in English, Slovak, Czech, and Polish. She carries over the same philosophy when guiding members of the Chamber.

“This is one of my passion projects and it’s how I became involved with the chamber,” says Ondrus of the Women’s Networking, where she provides mentorship and support to entrepreneurial women, helping them navigate the complex landscape of business growth. She hopes this dedication to empowering women inspires others to break barriers and forge their own paths. A strong sense of togetherness is vital for businesses to thrive, and the FLRCC excels at fostering a strong bond among its members and the community.

“I strongly believe that one of the cornerstones of the Fort Lee Regional Chamber of Commerce's ethos is its unwavering commitment to inclusivity,” Ondrus explains.

“It’s hard not to believe – in a place like Fort Lee and Northern New Jersey – that the success of a community and a business is deeply intertwined with its diversity,” adds Ware. “The examples are all around us.” Both leaders note their efforts to include businesses from various backgrounds have created a vibrant and dynamic business environment.

The Chamber also actively promotes its members' businesses through various channels, including its website, social media platforms, newsletters, and through sponsorship of community events.

“We understand that visibility is crucial for any business's success,” Ondrus points out. “From traditional advertising channels to modern platforms, the Chamber is willing to do what it takes for members.”

She notes that the inclusion of the podcast series featuring member businesses has garnered significant attention.

"We're not just building connections; we're telling stories,” Ondrus emphasizes.

And Ondrus knows the power of podcasts and collaboration. Her own podcast, Mortgage Minute is a partnership with a fellow member. Ondrus has also recorded at One of One Production Studios, another member. Ondrus has participated in or facilitated collaborations with local attorneys, banks, home designers, web designers, photographers, florists, and restaurants.

Ms. Ondrus is not alone in relying on collaboration to grow her business. She recalls a standout collaboration that involved a health-conscious restaurant teaming up with local gyms to drive customers to each other's business and create their own micro-community focused on health and wellness.

“They leveraged each other's strengths and resources and not only enhanced their businesses but also provided the community with an inspiration,” she beams when describing the partnership. “This collaboration not only boosted their bottom lines but also added to the dynamic nature of Fort Lee's social and economic landscape.”

“We offer spaces for business owners to connect, share ideas, and explore potential partnerships. Our aim is to create an environment where small businesses and professionals can thrive together,” Ware sums up. “And those are the stories everyone wants to hear.”
