cinating technology is how we choose to use it. The computers that we use today (including our smartphones) are more advanced than what was used on the Apollo 11 mission. We have more information at our fi ngertips than ever before and rather than a vigorous appetite for learning this wealth of knowledge, we look up funny videos of cats on YouTube, or binge watch The Offi ce on Netfl ix for the 15 th time. What’s worse is that socializing has been diminished to likes on Facebook and conversation is rarely done outside of a text message. So, I’m stuck in the middle of this technological revolution. On the one hand, our potential is nearly limitless with the ever increasing technology at our disposal. On the other hand, I see the worst of people come out from social media and other forms of technology. While I am not anticipating a robot takeover, I do wonder if we are handling the expansion of this technology in a way that is entirely healthy for the human race. Maybe I’ll ask Alexa to fi nd the answer to that question. I always welcome your comments, questions and concerns. Feel free to reach out at any time. editor@osceolasun.com
