Chapter 8 Happiness and Productivity You might not think much about it, but there’s a close relationship between happiness and productivity. The two have a direct correlation, meaning that when happiness is high then productivity levels soar too. Conversely, when you’re unhappy you’re likely not very productive. When it comes to blogging, it’s not about hitting a milestone (number of subscribers, for example) then forgetting all about it. Blogging isn’t a bucket list. Working on a blog means constantly putting one foot in front of another and going towards your vision. You have to think of your blog as an everyday challenge. Don’t just do something and then let it go. It’s more important to renew your commitment to your blog each day, and to work towards your goal with every opportunity. But how do you know you’re on track and that your blog is still moving in the right direction? One way is to have a checklist. Keep close tabs on it: are you checking a lot off every day or is your checklist mostly gathering dust? Accountability is key.
