IBP seeks comments on CA top post race
THE Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP) has encouraged its members to participate and submit their views or comments on the seven applicants for presiding justice of the Court of Appeals (CA) vice Presiding Justice Remedios A. Salazar-Fernando who is set to retire this coming Sept. 2.
The Judicial and Bar Council (JBC) had announced the names of the applicants for the CA presiding justice post.
They are CA Associate Justices Nina G. Antonio-Valenzuela, Ramon M. Bato Jr., Apolinario D. Bruselas Jr., Mariflor P. Castillo, Marlene B. Gonzales-Sison, Fernanda Lampas-Peralta, and Edwin D. Sorongon.
In its social media post, the IBP said “the survey on applicants to the Office of the Presiding Justice of the Court of Appeals is open until Aug. 11, 2023.”
“JBC welcomes your thoughts, concerns, or comments,” the IBP said, as the applicants to the post are set for public interviews by the JBC. Rey E. Requejo
