As Oklahoma Baptist University Athletics embarks on a new era, the time has come to develop a program that allows OBU fans and supporters continued opportunities to support the more than 350 varsity studentathletes on Bison Hill. The Stampede will allow our faithful supporters a structured program to support the very team(s) they love. As the costs of higher education and maintaining a successful athletic program continue to escalate, private contributions will be critical to assist our programs as they strive for excellence on the field, court, pool and in the classroom. In addition to helping fund student-athlete scholarships, The Stampede donations will help supplement general athletic operating costs, maintenance and upkeep of facilities and budget support for individual sports.

DID YOU KNOW? For the first time in collegiate athletics history, at any level, OBU Athletics won four national championships in one day with Men’s and Women’s Swimming and Diving and Men’s and Women’s Track all winning their respective NAIA National Championships.

Student-Athlete Scholarships A portion of all donations received through The Stampede will go to support the cost of a high-quality, Christian education for OBU’s student-athletes. These funds will allow individual sports the opportunity to recruit and retain toplevel studentathletes in their respective sports.

Athletics General Fund A portion of The Stampede revenue will support all Lady Bison and Bison sports.

Donor Seating Specific sections in football and basketball will require an annual donation to The Stampede in order to qualify for a season ticket in that area.

Individual (Specific) Sports Coaches are always in need of donations to help with their program’s budget. Individuals or companies may designate a gift to support an individual sport(s). Please note that gifts to individual sports do not count toward Donor Seating required annual donations or benefit levels.

Matching Gifts Many companies provide matching gift programs for employee contributions. Please check with your employer about their matching gift policy and see if your gift can be matched.

HOW IT WORKS The vast majority of colleges and universities have an annual fund specifically for athletics with a priority seating and membership level program in place. This setup allows for supporters to receive a variety of benefits such as seating priority, parking priority, exclusive athletics opportunities and much more based on their annual level of support for athletics. Members of The Stampede, the annual fund for Oklahoma Baptist University Athletics, have an opportunity to receive a variety of benefits based on their financial support (see Benefits Chart). Stampede members can qualify for benefits by purchasing season tickets with a per-seat contribution component included in the ticket price or by simply making a gift to The Stampede in support of OBU student-athletes (Please note the sections in the football and basketball seating charts that detail the per-seat contribution for tickets in priority seating sections.) Stampede members may choose to give an additional amount, above what the per-seat contribution gifts require, in order to move into a higher membership level and qualify for additional benefits. Example 1: Shaz Bison decides to purchase two (2) football season tickets in the Green Reserved Chairback section. His cost for the two seats would be $300 with $75 per ticket for the contribution requirement and $75 per ticket for the season ticket cost. Of that $300, $150 would be the amount he is contributing as a gift to The Stampede which would qualify him at the Bison level (see benefits chart). Example 2: Shaz Bison decides to purchase two (2) football season tickets in the Gold Reserved Bench Seating section. His cost for the two seats would be $150 with $25 per ticket for the per-seat contribution requirement and $50 per ticket for the season ticket cost. Of that $150, $50 would be the amount he is contributing as a gift to The Stampede which would qualify him at the Bison level (see benefits chart). Example 3: Shaz Bison decides to purchase four (4) football season tickets in the Green Reserved Chairback section. His cost for the four seats would be $600 with $75 per ticket for the per-seat contribution requirement and $75 per ticket for the season ticket cost. Of that $600, $300 would be the amount he is contributing as a gift to The Stampede which would qualify him at the Gold Bison level (see benefits chart). Example 4: Shaz Bison decides to purchase two (2) football season tickets in the Green Reserved Chairback Seating section. His cost for the two seats would be $300 with $75 per ticket for the per-seat contribution requirement and $75 per ticket for the season ticket cost. Of that $300, $150 would be the amount he is contributing as a gift to The Stampede which would qualify him at the Bison level. However, Shaz would really like parking in the Gold Bison lot as well as an invitation to the Athletic Director’s reception. In order to receive the benefits of the Gold Bison level, Shaz chooses to donate an additional $150 to make his total Stampede giving $300 which moves him into the higher giving level (see benefits chart).

Example 5: Shaz Bison decides to purchase two (2) VIP Tent football season tickets with accompanying Green Reserved Chairback Seating. His cost for the two VIP Tent passes and two accompanying Green Reserved Chariback Seating section seats would be $600 with $225 per ticket for the per-seat contribution requirement and $75 per ticket for the season ticket cost. Of that $600, $450 would be the amount he is contributing as a gift to The Stampede which would qualify him at the VIP Bison level (see benefits chart). Example 6: Shaz Bison decides to purchase two (2) basketball season tickets in the Green Reserved Chairback seating section. His cost for the two seats would be $300 with $75 per ticket for the per-seat contribution requirement and $75 per ticket for the season ticket cost. Of that $300, $150 would be the amount he is contributing as a gift to The Stampede which would qualify him at the Bison level. Example 7: Shaz Bison decides to purchase four (4) football season tickets in the Green Reserved Chairback seating section and two (2) basketball season tickets in the Green Reserved Chairback seating section. His cost for the four football seats would be $600 with $75 per ticket for the per-seat contribution requirement and $75 per ticket for the season ticket cost. Of that $600, $300 would be the amount he is contributing as a gift to The Stampede which would qualify him at the Gold Bison level. When the basketball season tickets go on sale, Shaz purchases his two season tickets in the Green Reserved Chairback seating section. His cost for the two basketball seats would be $300 with $75 per ticket for the per-seat contribution requirement and $75 per ticket for the season ticket cost. Of that $300, $150 would be the amount he is contributing to The Stampede at that time. Because Shaz Bison contributed $300 during the purchase of his four football season tickets and now contributed $150 for his two basketball season tickets his total annual contribution to The Stampede becomes $450. He now moves into the VIP Bison membership level and will receive VIP basketball parking and the other benefits associated with the VIP Bison level (see benefits chart). Example 8: Shaz Bison knows that he wants to purchase four (4) football season tickets in the Green Reserved Chairback seating section and renew his current four (4) basketball season tickets in the Green Reserved Chairback seating section. His cost for the four football seats would be $600 with $75 per ticket for the per-seat contribution requirement and $75 per ticket for the season ticket cost. Of that $600, $300 would be the amount he is contributing as a gift to The Stampede which would qualify him at the Gold Bison level. However, Shaz knows that his four basketball season tickets also require a total of $300 in required per-seat contributions which would give him a total of $600 in annual contributions and would move him into the VIP Bison level. Shaz contacts The Stampede office and makes his total contribution of $600 at the beginning of the football season and receives the benefits of the VIP Bison level for both football and basketball (see benefits chart).
