HOUSE REPORT School House Report
I must say, School House is being represented brilliantly, this half of the term especially.

First of all, a huge congratulations to the 1st XI girls hockey team, who are the national plate champions for their age group. The final took place at the Lee Valley Hockey and Tennis Centre at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in Stratford. The team consisted of a number of School House girls including Tilly Fox (captain), Caitlin Milborne, Abi Perry and Ella Panayiotou. With a score of 0-0 at half-time, it was an intense game, but by full-time, the girls managed to pull it out of the bag 2-1. What an achievement! We are so proud of you all! Inter-house netball was a thrilling event and a great atmosphere, especially from the School House girls! Overall, School came 3rd, which some may say was not the best result but they can’t say the team spirit wasn't there!
Well done to both Tess and Polly
The School House representatives in the House Squash certainly did us proud and came 1st! Well done to everyone who competed. Tuesday 8th March was International Women’s Day and students were encouraged to wear an item of purple clothing to show their support for women all around the world. Purple balloons decorated the house and many of the School House girls wore a purple jumper or ribbon. At break time, Miss Ball gave out some cupcakes that both she and I had made (hers looking considerably better!) for the girls to enjoy and take a minute to think about all of the women that inspire them in this world. It’s excellent to see Marcus showing his support and #BreakingTheBias!
Tess Garrett (S) has been busy organizing the live music café night with Polly Symes (W). This took place on Thursday 10th March and was to raise money for the British Red Cross Ukraine Crisis appeal. It was a lovely evening and a time to enjoy your friends’ company whilst listening to live music. Cakes and cookies were on sale and all of the money raised was donated to the British Red Cross. Well done to both Tess and Polly for doing this event, it was a great opportunity for students throughout the whole school to support and aid those in need in a time of crisis.
A small group of the girls have been busy with rehearsals for house a capella. I must say, it’s sounding incredible despite the fact that we have only had the whole the group together for one rehearsal!
