Leon Metz Travel The Pass.Org MADZINE COWBOYZ & COSMOZ
Leon Metz (1930-2020) remains a celebrated American cultural historian, penning over 19 books. In 1991, he co-founded Travel The Pass with Sylvia Gevália Landeros, a sociocultural marketing researcher/MMD, to explore, publish, and film the borderland history of the Texas, New Mexico, and Mexico region. MADZINE© is a Wild West encyclopedia—the first binational, multilingual, tristate region’s only flip-book—literally! Each side presents a distinct cover and reverse-order page sequence, chronicling the intersection of the Wild West frontier & present research of deep space! On October 22, 2024, the City of El Paso, Texas, issued a proclamation commemorating Leon Metz Travel The Pass Day, recognizing the organization’s 33+ years of cultural tourism study, historical research, and STEM project integration on a global level directed by Sylvia Gevália Landeros and introducing its most recent endeavor, Cowboyz & Cosmoz Complete Works of Leon Metz The Official Borderland Souvenir©.
