Leon Metz (1930-2020) remains a celebrated American cultural historian, penning over 19 books. In 1991, he co-founded Travel The Pass with Sylvia Gevália Landeros, a sociocultural marketing researcher/MMD, to explore, publish, and film the borderland history of the Texas, New Mexico, and Mexico region.
