As the fall semester arrives, the student media wing of Texas A&M University-Kingsville takes on new changes and welcomes students. The South Texan, which took on a new printing schedule last semester, welcomes new editors, and KTAI, the student-led radio station, moves to a new platform and also welcomes a new student manager. “KTAI-FM is moving to enhance its availability by moving to a streaming service along with the FM signal,” The South Texan and KTAI Adviser Nicole Perez Morris said. “This will help showcase the university and its talent across the country. The South Texan is producing year-round now, with bi-weekly publications and continues to provide award-winning coverage of the university, its students and faculty and

Hello Fellow Javelinas! I’d like to introduce myself. My name is Micayla Grossman, and I currently serve as your Student Body President. Thanks to COVID-19, this past year was anything but normal; from cancelling all in-person events, fully online classes for a semester, hybrid, and few %-.&,/&$ in-person 0"1**2&3 classes, be!"#$% coming ex.-/+(,-012+3 perts at us&'()*+(,ing Zoom, to wearing masks everywhere we go, we have had quite the year! Though we have all had our fair share of challenges, we have persevered and that is something each of us should be extremely proud of. How many people can say they’ve gone to college during a pandemic? Whether you’re vaccinated or not, I am hopeful

we will all do our part in keeping our campus safe from COVID-19 so we can all have a safe, and enjoyable school year. I am so excited to see all of my constituents back on campus. I think I speak for everyone when I say I cannot wait to attend games, Hog Calls, tailgates, and events on campus again! If you have any ideas on how to improve the campus experience or any concerns you’d like to address, Student Government would be happy to hear from you.
