The City of Terrell is located in Kaufman County in the state of Texas. In 2019, the U.S. Census said we were the third fastest growing county in the U.S. for cities with a population under 20,000. Terrell is approximately 25 miles east of Dallas on Interstate Highway 20 and U.S. Highway 80. State Highways 34, 205 and FM 148 provide north-south access. Terrell is 22 square miles.
