INFO www.vancouverbirdweek.ca This annual celebration of Vancouver’s birds is inspired by World Migratory Bird Day, a United Nations sponsored initiative that recognizes the importance of birds as key indicators of our environment’s health. This year’s theme is Birds at the Shore, and activities will include bird-related workshops, walks, talk, and lectures. Art activities at community centres across Vancouver will lead to the selection of the Vancouver City Bird. All events are free.
