Amanda McCormick Lately, I like to think of myself as an itinerant edupreneur, meaning I have knowledge and will travel to share it. I love learning, love people who want to enhance their lives and careers through learning. I love teaching people about my own particular passions, which largely have to do with how low-cost, DIY technology can catapult the “little guy” (nonprofits, artists, small businesses) to positions of great renown. I’m currently developing an online educational community aimed at that audience called Upstart U and I’ll be road-testing a lot of the lesson plans this summer. I also do plenty of

marketing consulting and writing for my blog, Jellybean Boom. I’m actually totally fascinated by office culture. In joining Loosecubes, I thought I could be like an undercover anthropologist of the contemporary cubicle farm, traveling all around the city and studying corporate workers. In reality, I’ve found the experience much more social and back-and-forth than the undercover stakeout fantasy I had in my head. Which probably explains why I’m a writer and not a detective.
