A few millennia ago, all of us at Roeper City and Country School were crammed together in Bloomfield with George and Annemarie We were squished into every corner But lunch was served, and there was a faculty lounge

We bought an old elementary school; much was gained and some things were lost The absence of lunch service was terrific for Primo’s, which sent many a pizza to my daughters Students felt distant from the Head, whose only office was back in Bloomfield Faculty learned to be accessible every instant Roeper was Roeper in an inadequate building Heck, Roeper could be Roeper in a barn Even a noisy barn

Now, with sustained commitment from across our community, we have made this building better -- again We’re retrieving some of what we had, and gaining facilities we never had

Roeper can be Roeper in a nicer building, where our amazing teachers can take a little break, students can find a quiet place to work, meals are available, and the Head can be present

It’s wonderful for all of us who love this school It’s a wonderful opportunity to use these spaces well, to help Roeper be even more Roeper

THE SHOPS @ ROEPER ARE OPEN FOR BUSINESS!

Not only are we online 24/7 at https://bit.ly/theshopsatroeper, but there will be in-person shopping days, too! Check the Roeper Record for dates and times Stop by! We’re located in the lobby of the Steward Bldg at Bloomfield We look forward to seeing you!
