Fighting for Your countryside & quaint rural villages. Traffic signals and crossroads were expertly blocked by riders from various clubs who would then fall in behind the sweep, to enjoy the remainder of the ride, and were then replaced by the next set of riders. This renewing of the blockers prevented the usual roaring past by previous blockers returning to the front of the ride. All of it was handled effortlessly & expertly with all riders arriving at the des na on safely. On behalf of all par cipa ng riders, I would like to express my gra tude to the many blockers – You be Aces!!

and hot – it did not disappoint and (‘cuz I live on the Bay of Quinte) I’m a Pickerel fana c! I seriously considered seconds but the Boo ful Babs gave me look colder than the beer I was suckin’ down. The day closed with sa sfac on all around. Even the freakin’ mosquitoes took a powder for the day, Eh Ollie? Great ride, great company, great stories, great nourishment, great entertainment and great liba ons - it was biker hell and to a man (& woman) we loved every minute of it! What an amazing finish to an amazing Unity Ride and the Queensmen M.C. deserve all the kudos I can muster. Thanx Brothers! MEMO TO SELF – visit out West more o#en. This month’s OCC feature club is the Queensmen M.C. The QMC has been a long- me supporter of the Ontario Confedera on of Clubs and, although I have seriously exercised my recollect powers, I am unable to pinpoint when the QMC was not an OCC member club. The club began as the Rampant Lions in Windsor and was started by Ted McCabe (aka Cheyenne) who remains an ac ve member today. The year was 1959 and the club changed its name in 1960 to the Queensmen. The M.C. designa on was added a few years later. QMC celebrated its 55th anniversary on July 19, 2014 with a huge party featuring nine bands. The club gives back to the community by suppor ng local chari es such as the “On a Mission for the Downtown Mission of Windsor”. QMC currently has chapters in Sparta and Amherstberg. The member commitment to Queensmen M.C. is underlined by the many lifers ac vely par cipa ng in the club’s ac vi es. The future of QMC

(and his wing man Sarge) who led us (without incident) across many kilometers of shimmering pavement. The Queensmen M.C. acreage is an expansive property that features a ta'oo shop, an RV Park for members, lots of camping space and an outstanding clubhouse that is a model of what can be achieved when you apply the Five P’s (Marine jargon for Proper Planning Prevents Piss Poor Performance)! The sprawling building houses a covered pa o - generous bar – an amazing catering-sized & fully equipped kitchen – a stage for entertainers and loads of sea ng space both inside and out. The many QMC members in a'endance were remarkable hosts and made us feel totally at home. The menu featured either BBQ fare or Pickerel with chips. I chose the fish and it arrived both fresh
