CENTERFIELD — A single car collision in Centerfield Feb. 24 claimed the life of a Mayfield woman. Lori Lauritzen, 36, died after being partially ejected when the white 1990 Chevrolet C2500 she was driving hit a tree near the intersection of U.S. Highway 89 and 400 North in Centerfield, according to the Utah Highway Patrol. According to the UHP, Lauritzen had exited a driveway onto Highway 89 south of 400 North, headed north and turned the corner onto 400 North eastbound. Once on 400 North, the vehicle continued approximately 200 feet before hitting a tree, troopers said. Troopers said three passengers — Mark Lauritzen, 39, Mayfield; Lloyd Lee, 33, Centerfield; and a 10-year-old female — were also injured in the incident, which occurred at approximately 6 p.m.
