Three-panel folding screen with very ornate bronze frame having gold leaf finish is set with three panels that are handpainted on enamel, each depicting a romantic scene in the 18th century manner of French painter Watteau. Excellent condition. French, circa 1875, rare size, the opulently-shaped frame perfectly accentuates the rich paintings. $1200/1700

Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulderplate, perfectly oval face with tiny pointed chin, cobalt blue glass inset eyes, painted lashes, arched feathered brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with accent line between the heart-shaped lips, pierced ears, brunette mohair wig over cork pate, French kid poupée body with gusset jointing, stitched and separated fingers. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: French, circa 1867.
