we had booked, and a few hours later the amended flight confirmations were sent by email. Arriving at the airport, we checked in, and as we were completing the procedure the clerk told us that there was a note in our file to go to the El Al counter inside the departures area. When we arrived and gave our name, the attendant said, “Mr. Wolff, would you be OK if we upgraded you and your wife to Business Class as we are
overbooked in Economy? As compensation, we are offering you two return tickets to any destination that El Al flies worldwide, and they are valid for one year”. You could have knocked me down with a feather. Not only were we on the flight originally booked, but for doing absolutely nothing we were now sitting in Business Class with two return tickets to a destination of our choice. El Al – the airline we love to hate!! o
