New Approach to Involve Public in Spatial Planning – RTE  With the help of a survey conducted by a consultancy, 12 individuals were chosen as representatives of a region  Invited in a citizen conference (total of 6 days in 7 months)  Could draw local specifics into map, in the end agreed on synthesis  Pointed out where a future line should not be built and gave ideas for mitigation and compensation projects  Final map was taken into account when developing corridor options Beyond Public Opposition Lessons Learned across Europe
